One day Love gazed upon us, and shed a single tear,
that dropped from heaven high above, and cast aside all fear
it splashed a’Red upon the Leaves, an’ watered well this garden dry ,
a place where Love once walked cool morn, and men began to die
this Tear began to swell and rise, a thunderous Roar began to mount,
it filled the earth with Water Sweet, burst forth a mighty Fount
men came from far to drink New Wine, and wash their garments white,
Praise God the Father and the Son! Hail, O Gladsome Light!
